At the invitation of the National Széchényi Library, the National Library of Serbia, and the Belgrade City Library, a two-person delegation from the Secretariat of the China-CEEC Library Union, led by Deputy Secretary-General Hu Fang, visited Hungary and Serbia. The purpose of the visit was to engage with potential hosts for the 4th Curators’Forum of China-CEEC Libraries Union. During the visit, the Secretariat held discussions with the National Széchényi Library, the National Library of Serbia, and the Belgrade City Library regarding the preparations for the forum. They also visited member libraries, including the Library and Information Centre of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the Matica Srpska Library in Novi Sad. The delegation toured the Foreign Literature Library, as well as the Library of Hungarian Parliament, and achieved fruitful results.

The National Széchényi Library showcased its unique treasures related to Chinese culture, housed in its Research and Special Collections Department

The Secretariat also toured the National Library of Foreign Literature, which has been part of the NSZL since December 2021

During their visit to the Library and Information Centre of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, the Secretariat was shown a collection of photographs documenting the explorations of the renowned Hungarian archaeologist and explorer Aurel Stein in China in the early 20th century, known for his explorations of the Silk Road region. Many of Stein's significant archaeological findings, including the Dunhuang manuscripts and other artifacts, are currently housed in institutions like the British Museum and the British Library, with some held at the Library and Information Centre of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences
