On October 21-24, the 1^st training program of the China-CEEC Libraries Union was held in the National Library of Poland.

The training program, prepared by specialists from the National Library, concerned modern solutions implemented by the National Library and current development trends in library practice. It was organized a year after the deliberations of the international Forum in Hangzhou inaugurating cooperation between libraries in Central and Eastern Europe and China.

The topics of the three-day lectures focused on copyright, cataloging, preservation of library collections, libraries network in Poland, electronic publications and digitization,etc. Participants were shown the work rooms of Polona, the digital program the National Library of Poland has been conducting as well as public libraries in Warsaw in an additional day.

Librarians from China, Bosnia, Slovenia, Croatia, Slovakia, North Macedonia and Poland participated in the training program. During the meeting, participants reviewed the connections and cooperation between member libraries in the past year. The 2^nd forum of China-CEEC Libraries Union is expected next year in Skopje, North Macedonia.
