Provincial Public Library in Krakow is the largest public library in Małopolska Region.

We select, purchase and catalogue books and other items for a collection to be available on-site and for loan (also interlibrary loan).

The Library’s collection count is approximately 500,000 items. The collection covers a wide range of subjects but it’s key collecting areas are in humanities and social sciences.

in addition to books and periodicals, it holds a number of Special Collections, e.g. vinyl & CD recordings, DVDs, audiobooks, Braille books and social life documents.

We have on-site space for over 600 Readers along with approximately 40 computers for study.

We also supervise a network of local public libraries in our Region and offer them professional support.

We offer a number of classes and workshops, exhibitions and festivals, serving everyone from toddlers to teens to seniors.
