The Aquatic Shipping Theme Branch of Hangzhou Public Library was jointly established by Hangzhou Public Library and Dongzhou International Port. It opened in August 2017 and has collected more than 16000 volumes of books, providing literature borrowing, reading promotion and other services for employees, enterprises and residents in the community. In June 2018, the library was launched through two container ships with stable routes, offering circulation service for the crew of other shipping companies to and from Dongzhou Port and anchorage area, so as to become spiritual habitat and aquatic cultural home.
