Film Branch of Hangzhou Public Library is the first film-themed library in China, and also the Hangzhou branch of China Film Archive and China Film Research Center, which provides citizens and film enthusiasts a platform to appreciate films, do relevant research and exchange about film and film art. Till now, there are about 5,000 sets of film resources, with nearly 10,000 volumes of printed books. A digital film platform has been built. Readers can choose to watch films in the theater, independent film rooms or on computers. Film-related lectures and communication activities are also regularly organized.
