In August, HPL Director Ying Hui and librarian Fang Zhujun headed for Kuala Lumpur for the World Library and Information Congress 84th IFLA General Conference and Assembly. This year,IFLA issued The IFLA Global Vision report and launched IFLA Global Vision Ideas Store. Meantime, over 250 open sessions were offered to accommodate the need for 3500 participants.
HPL delegation brought the “YUE Library” pragram to the stage of international library community and presented “READ FOR EARTH” in the poster session.
HPL delegates met with Kristine Paberza, the member engagement officer, during the interval of the packed week. Kristine Paberzashowed interests in the “YUE Library” program which makes HPL library services of all kinds covered in it.Besides, Ying Hui also shared the information of the upcoming 1st China-CEEC Curators’ Forum of Libraries Union that will be held in Hangzhou this October.
