Today is the first day of Milan. After over 12 hours’ journey, we finally arrived at Milan airport and met our old friends, Matteo and Guido from Milan Public Library. They accompanied us to our Milan’s “home”, and brought us all the materials to convenient our stay here. What’s more, they even helped us to book meals for the next few days in a restaurant near our apartment. Thanks to such a nice arrangement of Milan Public Library and the sincere help from Matteo and Guido, we felt just at home, even it was the first time for both of us to come to Milan.
Last autumn, Matteo and Guido paid a visit to Hangzhou Public Library, which launched library-exchange project between our two libraries, and the seeds of friendship have been sown since then. In March of this spring, on behalf of Hangzhou Public library, we as “cultural ambassadors”, another title Elaine gave us, will keep our further talk and more communication.
