On Aug 19th, the 3-people delegation of Hangzhou Public Library, lead by Chu Shuqing, general director started their Pre-Congress Meeting before the World Library and Information Congress: the 83rd IFLA General Conference and Assembly in Wroclaw, Poland.
As a member of Standing Committee of IFLA Section on Metropolitan Libraries starting from 2015, Mr. Chu attended the SC meeting and discussed a broad segment of issues with the other members. The main agenda included the approval of the minutes of the meetings in Doha, Columbus and Montreal, election of officers and the information coordinator, main and joint program in Wroclaw, as well as the plan of METLIB 2018 in Belgrade.
