Third Forum on Cultural Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries is to be held in late September 2017, Hangzhou, China. Hangzhou Public Library(HPL) will receive the delegation of cultural ministers on September 22,where they will attend the launch of China-CEEC Libraries Union Initiative, the most significant project over the past years for the library on international exchange.
As the initiator of the project, the entire library have been actively participating in preparation. At the same time, the local government regards the project as equally important for the city from the perspective of the government. Chen Hongying, deputy mayor of Hangzhou Municipal Government, paid a visit to Hangzhou Public Library on 26, July, checking the preparation, followed by director and vice director of Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, TV, Film, Press and Publication, as well as the general director of HPL.
Ms. Chen expressed her great appreciation for the great efforts HPL had made, and also gave some suggestions on some details, such as more display on high-tech digital devices, more introduction on the services for disadvantaged groups, etc.“Details determine success or failure” Ms. Chen emphasized.
As time draws closer, we have more confidence to welcome this one of the greatest moments of the library.
