Zhu Junwei and He Xiaoxi, two librarians from Hangzhou Public Library exchanged at Indianapolis Public Library from July 16 until August 20, as part of on-going Sister Libraries relationship.
The exchange program was rich in contents, not only arranging them working in the library as librarians with clear responsibilities but paying visits to many branch libraries, including Irvington, Lawrance, Flanner House, as well as several sports venues and enjoying sports event.
At the same time, the exhibition of “Ordinary Hangzhou” was planned on display from Aug 10 till Sep 30. Zhu Junwei and He Xiaoxi actively joined the exhibition team to do the curation, prepare the opening ceremony, as well as to accept the interview by the local media to better promote the culture from China. The exhibition was well received locally under their efforts.
Besides, Zhu Junwei and He Xiaoxi also attended 82nd IFLA General Conference and Assembly, United States, Ohio, Columbus 13-19 August 2016. Three posts from Hangzhou Public Library, were displayed during the conference and won the high recognition.
