Hangzhou Public Library and Gifu City Chuo Library established a friendly relationship in 2015 and signed a cooperation agreement including the project of librarian exchange between the two libraries. Koji Nobuo, director of Gifu City Chuo Library and two librarians paid a visit to Hangzhou Public Library in July. As an exchange, Wu Zhongping, deputy director of Hangzhou Public Library and two colleagues visited Gifu City Chuo Library on August 25 to 28, 2016. The trip was well organized. Vice mayor of the city, Kazuya invited the guests from China to a splendid dinner. Besides the exchange in Gifu City Chuo Library, they also visited some branch libraries in the city and brought back some new ideas on their jobs which exactly achieve what we’d like to obtain from the project.
