Co-hosted by Guqin Committee of China Nationalities Orchestra Society, Hangzhou Public Library and Taiyin Guqin Club, The Fifth Chinese Guqin Joint Performance of 2016 International Guqin Conference and the Third National Guqin Dapu Conference was held in the Lecture Hall of Hangzhou Public Library on June 3.
Guqin artists from Hangzhou, Chongqin, Shandong, Haimen, Wenling, Nanjing, Beijing and Hongkong gathered together there. Recalling an Old Friend, In Praise of the Plum Garden, The Song of king Yao, The Song of Guangling, Homage to Qu Yuan and some other lyre music were performed. Enthusiasts across the country came to enjoy the wonderful performance.
Hangzhou has been the place of holding International Guqin Conference for 4 times and National Guqin Dapu Conference for 2 times, which were the top level Guqin cultural activities. As an active promoter of public culture, Hangzhou Public Library positively dedicate itself to the National Guqin Conference held once every two years in Hangzhou. Guqin artists gather together in Hangzhou, the birthplace of Guqin of Zhe school to exchange experience during the conferences, which is meaningful for its heritage and development.
