At 14:00 p.m. on June 5, Traditional Chinese Music Concert of Young Artists was held in the Lecture Hall of Hangzhou Public Library.
Hosted by Hangzhou Public Library and Hangzhou Traditional Culture Promotion Association, co-organized by Chinese Music Branch of Hangzhou Traditional Culture Promotion Association and Excellent·Joy of Quiet Peace Guqin Club, sponsored by Canal Branch of West Lake Guqin Club, Kunqu Opera Club of Zhejiang University and 3 other art clubs, and centered on the concept of “promoting, inheriting and disseminating excellent art program”, this concert introduced traditional Chinese music to citizens, so as to broaden their horizons.
This concert had a full house and lasted about two hours. Ancient melodies such as Wild Geese on the Sandbank, Tolling of Buddhist Temple, The Song of king Yao, Sorrow of Twin Stars, General's Command and Three Variations on Plum Blossom were played and the audience was so intoxicated.
The music series including Zen Music played by Guzheng and some other traditional Chinese music concerts will be held in the second half year. Readers are welcomed to join in these concerts.
