On May 21, Guided by Guqin Committee of China Nationalities Orchrstra Society, art salon of Guqin was held in Hangzhou Public Library, co-hosted by Taiyin Guqin Club,. Jia Jiwei, secretary general of Taiyin Guqin Club was the speaker and Guo wei, teacher of Taiyin Guqin Club was Guqin player. This art salon was divided into two parts. The first part was hosted by Jia Jiwei, who introduced Guqin culture to audiences and Guo Wei played a famous tune named “flowing water”.
The second part was hosted by Guo wei, who introdcuced Guqin playing skills to audiences. The more people knew about Guqin, the more interests they got.
From this year, a series of cultural exchange activities of Guqin will be held in Hangzhou Public Library, for disseminating its culture and advocating elegant lifestyle, thus to better build the public library to a public cultural service platform.
Tips:
Guqin is seven-stringed zither without bridges, the most classical Chinese instrument with over 3000 years of history. It is literally called qin yet commonly known as "guqin" , where "gu" stands for ancient.
