The world changes when you touch it, and at the same time, your soul is infused with the culture of the world. You and your surroundings trigger a chain reaction. The influx of your body including every single cell also urges everything here goes in your heart.
On 24 May, Influx—Solo Exhibition by Wieslaw Borkowski Jr. closed in Hangzhou Public Libray. “My works reflect the world of both the east and the west. They record the observation of native life and the understanding of traditional culture by a westerner.” Said Wieslaw Borkowski Jr.
Now, let us have a brief review!
Influx—Solo Exhibition by Wieslaw Borkowski Jr. opened on 11 May. 300 artworks were displayed.
The exhibits included traditional Chinese paintings, calligraphies, sketches, Chinaware and other artworks made of insects, all of which were the works of recent 4 years. It was amazing that his art style was perfectly matched with traditional Chinese painting techniques. The ship on the painting represents himself, showing both the collision of the east culture and the west culture and their integration.
People of all ages came to this exhibition. Art has no boundaries.
Every weekend during the exhibition time, Wieslaw Borkowski Jr. came to the library and presented his works to audiences in person, sharing the artistic skills, the background of works and how he got the inspiration, etc.
In the afternoon of May 22, Wieslaw Borkowski Jr. introduced his most influential work Dialogue Between Apsara and Angel and some other works painted in Kezier, Xinjiang. It was a wonderful salon, especially for these aficionados.
