University College Cork, Ireland was established in 1845. The Boole Library of UCC and Hangzhou Public Library started their friendship back on 2010 with tremendous on-going cooperative programs in recent years. The exhibition ORDINARY Hangzhou is another project to celebrating the friendship of the two libraries, which was featured in the Boole Library from November 23, 2016 until January 23, 2017. On the opening day, Colette McKenna, director of the Boole Library of UCC made a welcome address on behalf of the library. Mr. Yongbin Xia, the Co-Director of the Confucius Institute UCC and Professor Ciaran Murphy, Head of Business Information Systems at UCC attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. About 50 people attended the launch. It was a very successful and enjoyable evening. A national newspaper, The Irish Examiner, featured the launch of the event.
