Pierre Yves GERVAIS, commonly known as Laopi in China, is a French artist and also a professor. His first visit to China was 10 years ago when he was sent by French Government as a representative of the French artists. Since then, he was gradually getting immersed in Chinese culture.
On July 14, showing more than ten pieces of watercolour painting, Laopi shared his childhood stories, art experience and painting skills with the audience. His favorite “three series of watercolour”, including the neck back series, the engine series, the fish series made the audience feel different charm of watercolour painting.
During the intermission, a tea ceremony was performed, and both Laopi and the audience tasted Jiu Qu Hong Mei, a very rare and famous tea from Hangzhou.
